This resource supports letter recognition, sound to letter connection, letter formation, blending number matching, and problem solving.
 
Included in this resource is both a black and white and colour version of the acorns, a student recording sheet, and an answer page.
 
How to use: Hide the acorns around your classroom or school. The children will then go on an 'acorn hunt' and find the acorns. Once they have found an acorn, they will need to look at the number on the acorn, say the letter sounds, blend, and record the word in the correctly numbered acorn on their recording sheet.
 
There are different versions of this resource - this contains ONLY the CV/VC hunt. There are also alphabet, CVC and CVCC/CCVC options depending on the abilities of your students. A bundle option with all four resources is also avaliable.
